Supporting the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund

FLCBank was proud to be represented at the 2025 Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Wine Tasting Gala by our CEO Keith Perry, Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives Bryan Wilder, and Private Client Banker Meredith Adams. Their attendance highlights our ongoing commitment to supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of families in need.

The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families facing childhood cancer by offering financial assistance, emotional support, and practical resources. Their mission is to ensure that no family fights alone during their child’s cancer journey.

The annual Wine Tasting Gala is one of the Jay Fund’s premier fundraising events, uniting community leaders, philanthropists, and supporters for a night of generosity and celebration. This year’s gala featured:

  • A world-class wine experience – Hundreds of curated wines from around the globe, provided by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.

  • Culinary excellence – Top Northeast Florida restaurants showcased their signature dishes in a delicious display of local talent.

  • A night of impact – Every dollar raised directly supports families affected by pediatric cancer.

Inspiration from the Financial Brand Forum

Our Marketing Director, Anita Speck, recently attended the Financial Brand Forum in Las Vegas—a premier conference focused on the future of financial services marketing.

Here’s what Anita had to say:
“Attending the Financial Brand Forum is an incredible experience—so much valuable insight packed into each session! I'm especially inspired by how AI and technology are transforming the future of banking—and fast! The keynote speakers, including Kevin O'Leary and Cesar Millan, were absolutely phenomenal!”

Each day kicked off with high-energy, TEDx-style keynotes from world-class speakers. Among them was Eric Ryan, co-founder of Method and Olly, who shared inspiring lessons on building brands with purpose and personality.

This conference was a great opportunity to gather fresh ideas, learn from industry leaders, and explore how innovation is reshaping our space. Stay tuned as Anita brings these insights into our strategy and future initiatives!

Florida Capital Bank was one of the two dozen First Coast businesses recognized at Jacksonville Magazine’s annual Companies With Heart luncheon for their charitable giving. FLCBank was awarded this distinction for contributing to bettering the community in several ways—through volunteer man hours, fundraising drives, and corporate giving. Way to Go Team!

Florida Capital Bank is pleased to announce that Sam Ishee, Chief Financial Officer, has been recognized as one of the area’s Rising Stars by Jacksonville Business Journal! The Jacksonville Business Journal's Rising Stars program spotlights executives who are early in their careers and poised to make a difference for years to come.

This is the first year of the Rising Stars program, which spotlights professionals in four categories: Finance, Legal, Logistics, and Real Estate. The JBJ announced the honorees at the end of 2023 and recently hosted an event to recognize the winners.

Sam's success is a testament to hard work, dedication, and resilience. Starting at Florida Capital Bank in 2007 as a Bank Teller, he worked his way up to Bank Treasurer in 2017 – and became CFO in November of 2023. During that time, Sam obtained his Bachelor's in Accounting from UNF and completed his Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from UNF – receiving his degree in 2013.

FLCBank’s Chief Executive Officer Keith Perry said, “Sam’s strategic analytic expertise, combined with his technical knowledge and understanding of the financial services sector, helped him become an instrumental voice on the bank’s leadership team. His trajectory as a rising star is undeniable, as his strong belief in and commitment to teamwork and helping the bank reach its goals.”

Congratulations Sam! We look forward to seeing what you do next!

This isn’t the first time Sam has been recognized for his achievements – in 2018, he won The Jacksonville Business Journal's 40 Under 40, which recognizes young executives who are shaping the First Coast now and are projected to continue to have an impact well into the future.

In the Rising Stars JBJ article about Sam, he talks about lessons in his career. “The biggest lesson I've learned in my career so far is that you should never be afraid to ask for help.” Guiding and mentoring bank employees is also a passion for Sam. “The ability to share valuable business and life lessons with others and witness how they incorporate those principles to thrive in their respective careers is especially rewarding to me,” Sam said.

Hear what one of our long-time customers has to say about their experience banking with FLCBank. We are pleased to serve Embroidery Authority and the founders even while they’re hundreds of miles away.

“The thing about working with Florida Capital Bank is I know I will always be taken care of.” (Lance Atwood). FLCBank is proud to represent businesses like Lance Atwood’s. We are here to help your business succeed.

We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on Debbie McDaniel, Deposit Operations Specialist at our bank, for her incredible achievement!

Debbie recently passed the exam for Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and earned the prestigious AAP designation.

AAPs represent an elite group of highly-skilled professionals, recognized nationally for their exceptional knowledge in electronic payments, especially within the field of ACH payments. This designation is a testament to Debbie’s dedication and commitment to staying at the forefront of the industry.

The AAP exam, sponsored by NACHA, is notoriously challenging, often compared to the Bar Exam in its level of difficulty. Very few pass on their first attempt, making Debbie’s achievement even more commendable.

Debbie’s expertise and knowledge in ACH payments will greatly benefit our bank, especially in our work with TPPPs (Third Party Payment Processors) and the high volume of ACH transactions we process daily. Her expertise ensures we remain fully compliant with the numerous ACH rules and regulations.

This accomplishment reflects her unwavering commitment to excellence and her dedication to providing top-notch service to our valued clients.

Florida Capital Bank received the “Best Places to Work in Jacksonville” designation once again! We couldn’t wait to share this news with all of you — our wonderful customers, friends, and followers. We have worked hard to cultivate and nurture our company culture to make FLCBank a truly awesome place to work. We are SO GRATEFUL for our incredible, dedicated TEAMS — our greatest asset.
